7th Ultrasound Scan: 23 weeks (Low placenta?)

On 11 April, I had detail scan done at KKH. Result? 2 issues ... - Placenta position: Low posterior mid. - Mild tricuspid regurgitation in baby. Was advised not to carry any heavy items, not even groceries, and more rest. Doctor warned that there MAY be bleeding. Hoping by 28 weeks, all will be normal. These issues had kept me worrying, google-ing and reading up alot, about placenta previa, premature birth, elective C-section, etc. Today, i went to Dr Hii's Women Clinic for check up. It's been 4 weeks since my last visit... Dr Hii assured me on my mini Rain's gender. Confirmed, no bird bird. 😄 weighing at 575g (-+85g) He double checked and triple checked on my "low placenta" issue as stated in the detail scan report, but found out that it's all good, no low-lying placenta, and baby's mild tricuspid regurgitation should be fine by 28 weeks. Now i have one thing less to worry about! Yay! But currently its the 4th day that I...

First visit to Baby Fair~!

Months before the baby fair, there's already preorder sales on the website. Some preorder sales are cheaper than what is sold at the baby fair on the actual day.  So i actually shopped online and pre-ordered quite a number of baby stuffs... To look at the total bill/order list, i actually saved quite alot of money compared to the usual price of products.  Reached baby fair at about 11.30am. It's a Saturday morning, the crowd is coming in.... Step 1 : Grab the free Baby Fair magazine at the entrance. Step 2 : Head to Show Management Office to print out all the pre-ordered item vouchers. Step 3 : Find the floor plan/map in the baby fair magazine and mark out which booths you are going to collect your preorders from. (this makes items collection and moving around among the crowd alot easier for you) Finally got my dream stroller!  I actually pre-ordered too many items for myself to handle. Luckily i wasn't alone, i had a friend with me and ...

Doctor says hopefully it will improve by 28 weeks. Doctor suggested that i take these flu vaccines so that i wont fall sick easily during pregnancy. 3rd Ultrasound Scan (FTS/Blood Test): 13 weeks

My private gynae (Dr Hii) recommended me to do the Panorama Test for Down Syndrome at his clinic when baby was 10 weeks, this test is able to find out the baby gender too (yes, as early as 10 weeks!). That advanced test costs $1000 (99% detection rate). But my friend explained to me, that i'm below 35 years old, so the chance of down syndrome babies is lesser. Dont have to spend that much money, so she suggested me to go to KKH for FTS test instead, which is way cheaper under government subsidiary. PS: You NEED to go any Polyclinic for a referral letter to KKH to be considered under the government subsidised patients.  So here i am.... First trimester screening is a combination of tests completed between 11 weeks and 13 weeks 6 days of pregnancy. It is used to look for certain birth defects related to the baby's heart or chromosomal disorders, such as Down syndrome. This screen includes a maternal blood test and an ultrasound. Not 100% , but 90% detection rate. Went through th...
