I will write about Dostinex next time. Consultation $100 Ultrasound Scan $100 PAP Smear $35 Dostinex 0.5mg (4 tabs) $200 Total Damage: $465.45 (after GST)

Post-Delivery: Cesarean Stitch Removal

Visited Dr Hii to remove my Cesarean Section sutures/stitches. To my surprise, the suture removal was painless and fast, like 1 second, cut and pull out, that's it. I realised Dr Hii's stitching skill is good. the incision and wound looks nicer than I thought. haha.   Was given Dermatix Ultra to apply on the wound. This is well known for it's scar reduction effect and it's useful for surgical scars. I also asked Dr Hii if there's any medication to help boost my milk supply. He then prescribed me Maxolon .  Total Damage: $230.05

14th Ultrasound Scan: 38 weeks

Mini Rain is weighing at 3kg (+/- 444g) . Dr Hii checked my cervix opening using transvaginal ultrasound and mentioned something about " 3 cm ". I wasn't sure if he meant the cervix has already opened 3cm but i thought if the cervix is dilated, means its going into labour? Then i came to realise and understand perhaps the doctor meant the thickness of cervix opening is 3 cm, and he said " at least 1 week or more to go... ".

13th Ultrasound Scan: 37 weeks (Monilia - Yeast Infection)

High Vaginal Swab (HVS) test result... Monilia: Present What is Monilia? Monilia is essentially a normal yeast infection. Is this common in pregnancy? Yeast infections are especially common during pregnancy because hormone changes can disrupt the pH balance of the vagina. Can a yeast infection hurt my unborn baby? No, a yeast infection won't hurt or affect your developing baby. But if you have a  infection when you go into labor, there's a chance that your newborn will contract it as he passes through the birth canal. If that happens, he may develop a yeast infection in his mouth, known as thrush. Solution? Yeast infection during pregnancy is common. Mild cases, the infection would go away itself. Drink more water, cut down on sugars etc. But for my case, delivery date is just around the corner. So medical treatment is necessary. Canesten Vaginal tab 0.5g Total Damage: S$26.75 (S$25 + GST) Other than this issue, baby is healthy! Still weighing at 2.9kg ...

12th Ultrasound Scan: 36 weeks (High Vaginal Swab Test)

Mini Rain is weighing at 2.9kg (+/- 430g). Dr Hii did High Vaginal Swab Test today. High Vaginal Swab (HVS) is a technique used in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to obtain a sample of discharge from the vagina. This is then sent for culture and sensitivity. It is commonly used to test for the presence of candidiasis infection,  bacterial  vaginosis and trichomonas vaginalis. Total Damage: S$107 (HVS $100 + GST) (From now onwards, i need to visit Dr Hii for check-ups every week as this is the last month of pregnancy already) After my check up with Dr Hii, I went to Madam Partum by Chien Chi Tow to try their Prenatal massage as my back is aching badly. Prenatal Massage 60 mins @ $83.45 nett . Soothing. That i actually dozed off a little during the massage. However, comparing this massage to Spa Symphony's Gina's, i still prefer Gina's Prenatal massage skills. I planned to engage her Postnatal massage after my delivery. Will share more info about it when i started...

That's me. 30 weeks preggo... Went for my check up at Dr Hii's clinic today. Baby's all good. Weighing 1.6kg (+/-238g). Wasn't able to do the 3D Ultrasound scan because mini Rain's had her arms in the front of her face, covering it. Next appointment, 2 weeks later....

8th Ultrasound Scan: 28 weeks (Welcome to 3rd trimester)

Second trimester is over. Third trimester here we come! Went for my prenatal check up with Dr Hii and he did the 3D ultrasound scan for the first time, to see baby's face. Can you spot my baby's face? LOL. So complicated. Okay. The baby is shy. She's covering her face with her hand. Only her mouth is visible. She's doing a facepalm. Haha. will be visiting Dr Hii for check-ups fortnightly (every 2 weeks) from now on...

7th Ultrasound Scan: 23 weeks (Low placenta?)

On 11 April, I had detail scan done at KKH. Result? 2 issues ... - Placenta position: Low posterior mid. - Mild tricuspid regurgitation in baby. Was advised not to carry any heavy items, not even groceries, and more rest. Doctor warned that there MAY be bleeding. Hoping by 28 weeks, all will be normal. These issues had kept me worrying, google-ing and reading up alot, about placenta previa, premature birth, elective C-section, etc. Today, i went to Dr Hii's Women Clinic for check up. It's been 4 weeks since my last visit... Dr Hii assured me on my mini Rain's gender. Confirmed, no bird bird. 😄 weighing at 575g (-+85g) He double checked and triple checked on my "low placenta" issue as stated in the detail scan report, but found out that it's all good, no low-lying placenta, and baby's mild tricuspid regurgitation should be fine by 28 weeks. Now i have one thing less to worry about! Yay! But currently its the 4th day that I...

First meet-up with little one...

5 weeks 5 days @ Dr Hii's Women Clinic First time meeting this little one. So tiny, look like an embryo. Mixed feeling of happiness and loneliness... Single moms out there going through this, I feel you. At the clinic, you will feel a strike of loneliness, wishing the father of this little one was there to see what you both created. Especially when you see other mummies coming into the clinic with their husbands, in couples..... And that's what makes you feel lonelier and upset. STOP right there. Listen. If a guy is heartless enough to walk away after he impregnated you, he's not worth thinking about. Any man with a heart in this world would know that a pregnant woman is someone who needs the man the MOST. So if he is inhuman and irresponsible to abandoned the cause of what he did, then you and your little one will definitely be better off without this kind of beast. Your child needs a loving, caring, supportive and responsible father, not a heartless, inhuman and irrespons...
