4th Ultrasound Scan: 17 weeks

17 weeks @ Dr Hii's Women Clinic.

Dr Hii said "high chance girl, but not confirmed".
I'm so happy! hehehe...

I still can't figure out how to see the gender from this screenshot. But all i remember is what the doctor said. "high chance girl". Hahaha....

Hopefully on my next visit, Dr Hii can confirm my baby's gender....

Finally signed up Dr Hii's package today.

~Dr Hii's Antenatal and Delivery Package~
(Able to sign up for the package from 3rd month onwards)

Package includes all antenatal consultations during pregnancy + ultrasound scans.
Package does not include blood test, medicine/supplements, hospital visits etc.
To sign up for the package, place a non-refundable deposit of $2,500.

Many people think that it is expensive because of the upfront payment/deposit. But actually, it's similar to other private gynaes. Let me work this out for you....

Other Private Clinics
Most gynaes offer antenatal package ranging from $700-$1,000 which includes all pregnancy consultations and ultrasound scans. Excluding blood test etc.
Delivery at hospital, doctor's fee of more than $2,000 will be charged into the hospital bill. (my friend's TMC doctor's delivery fee was about $2,600, normal delivery).
So total antenatal + delivery is about $3,300 average. excluding doctor's visit, about $200/visit.

Dr Hii's Women Clinic
Placed $2,500 to sign up for the package. All consultations and ultrasound scans included.
By the time after delivery at the hospital, only need to pay the balance.
Eg. Normal delivery, $3,100
$3,100 - $2,500 (deposit) = $600. excluding doctor's visit, about $200/visit.
So it's not expensive, just that you gotta pay more in the early stage, but pay alot lesser at the hospital.

That's why i decided to sign up delivery package with Dr Hii, mainly because his clinic is near my place, his clinic isn't as crowded or fully booked by many people (so saved alot of waiting time), and he is able to give hospital leave prior to birth delivery. Anyway, Dr Hii is known for being the "doctor with few words". He won't tell you to eat lesser or control your diet. Unless you ask him questions, he would reply you patiently. He always smiles... He's the modern kind of doctor who gives the green light to many things...
Can i go Korea? it's almost 0ºC there now... (7 weeks pregnant). CAN!
Can i colour my hair? CAN!
Can i do gelish manicure? CAN!

shiok. everything also can. hahaha.

Total Damage: S$2,675 (Antenatal + Delivery package deposit, plus GST)

Stopping Lactation: Dostinex

Yes. I decided to give up breastfeeding.   Because it's eating away my sleep and health, mentally and physically.  People always say, " breastfeeding is the best for your child and try to breastfeed as long as possible, at least 6 months ". Well, it's easier said than done . Now that I've experienced breastfeeding, I'd really admire those mums who actually breastfed for months or years. It's so so so tough and tiring, I swear. For those who don't understand and never knew what's the life of a breastfeeding mom...  Here's an example (newborn).  1am baby sleep. Mummy sleep.  3am baby cry. feeding time  (Latch: 30-40 mins. Or Bottle: 5 mins prepare and warm milk, feed 20-30 mins.) 3.35am burp baby. 3.40am   change baby diaper. 3.45am put baby to sleep 3.50am pump out (remaining) breast milk. 4.20am done pump. Prepare storage. 4.25am store breast milk in fridge. Wash up breast pump and sterilize. 4.35am Sleep.

Hospital Bag Checklist

The Hospital Bag Checklist for delivering in Singapore When should you pack your maternity hospital bag? Try to pack at least 3 weeks before your due date, as it's better to be ready-to-go instead of panicking when the water bag breaks unexpectedly or if the painful contractions finally visits you and by then you won't be able to think properly of what to bring to hospital.  What to pack in your hospital bag? Well, it depends on what amenities and items are already included in your hospital maternity package though. I will be delivering at Mount Alvernia Hospital , and these are the stuffs that's included in the maternity package... Mount Alvenia Maternity packages include the following: Lodging, inclusive of meals (Normal delivery - 3D2N / C-Section - 4D3N) Labour Ward charges or Operating Theatre charges (depending on type of delivery) Nursery charges Daily treatment fee for Nursing services Baby's immunization (BCG, 1st dose of Hep B and Vitamin

How I came t o know about this premium essence of chicken? I posted a question on a "Mummies Group" on Facebook asking which chicken essence brand is the best for pregnancy. And "Lao Xie Zhen" had the most votes, which was a brand I had never heard of. So i googled it, visited the website to find out more about it. What are the benefits?
