Travelling with Toddler to Japan~!

Sorry it's been so long since my last update. Been so busy juggling over my full-time job, my girl, and my daily routine.

Here I wanna share about our trip to Japan in November 2019 when she was 15 months old.

(YES IKR, WE ALL MISS TRAVELLING 😭)

Hope this Covid-19 will leave soon, although I know, it's gonna take years to open up travelling freedom again.

Okay, heads up, the main purpose of this trip was to
surprise my Aunt who's residing in Tokyo, Japan.
So..... we don't really have a tour itinerary planned out just like our Taiwan trip.
It was more to a family gathering/catch up.

Day 1

We flew with Japan Airlines.
We took an overnight flight, departing at 01:50hrs, arriving in Japan in the morning.
Hoping that my girl would sleep throughout the flight and won't fuss.

Check in your stroller at the Gate with no worries!
And travelling with a <2 years old makes you PRIORITY. 😄

On board the flight, the stewardess gave me a bag of goodies for my girl!
Merries diaper, banana, baby crackers. Wonderful~!

They even gave her a free gift: JAL toy aeroplane

Once again, make good use of the benefits of travelling with a <2 years old!
Request for a bassinet seat and get the front seat for free!

Baby meal~! Looks OK, but it's tasty~!

Arrived at Tokyo Haneda Airport

Temperature: 18°C

A great transport option to head to your destination would be this...

We took the limousine (Coach) to Kasai at ¥1050 (S$13) per person.
A Taxi in Tokyo would have cost alot more!

We stayed in Hotel Il Fiore Kasai
The room is small, but well, we prioritize the location...

She lovessss cold weather....

We managed to locate & surprise my Aunt & relatives!
By night time, my Aunt brought us to this wonderful place for dinner.

Kid's meal for my little one~!

They even have separate basins for hand washing and bottle washing

Weighing scale for your baby, wow.

You can measure your baby's height too!

and a miniature toilet for your child's usage!

Okay on a serious note, parent travelling to Japan with your child,
if your child is wearing Merries/Mamypoko/GOO.N etc, those are Japan diapers.
You can actually buy them in Japan. Don't be so silly like me who stocked up 3 packets of Merries from Singapore and fly to Japan, only to realise that the Merries diapers are so much cheaper there~! 😭

Home's Kasai Store

See? Plenty! Why Singapore don't have.... lol

OMG. the kid's clothing, food, items here are so CHEAP! Whack ar~!

She's really enjoying the cold weather...

My cousin sister cooked dinner~!

Dropped by this supermarket on our way back to the hotel...

Temperature: 12°C (night)

Liked I've mentioned in my Taiwan trip post, to go to cold country, it is a must to have stroller rain cover to protect the cold wind and to keep your child warm, but make sure to check that it's not too warm in there, remove a jacket if it's not too cold, don't fully zip up the cover. Usually I leave some gap for cold air to enter.

Convenience store~

Japanese cup noodles are so yummy~!

Stopping Lactation: Dostinex

Yes. I decided to give up breastfeeding.   Because it's eating away my sleep and health, mentally and physically.  People always say, " breastfeeding is the best for your child and try to breastfeed as long as possible, at least 6 months ". Well, it's easier said than done . Now that I've experienced breastfeeding, I'd really admire those mums who actually breastfed for months or years. It's so so so tough and tiring, I swear. For those who don't understand and never knew what's the life of a breastfeeding mom...  Here's an example (newborn).  1am baby sleep. Mummy sleep.  3am baby cry. feeding time  (Latch: 30-40 mins. Or Bottle: 5 mins prepare and warm milk, feed 20-30 mins.) 3.35am burp baby. 3.40am   change baby diaper. 3.45am put baby to sleep 3.50am pump out (remaining) breast milk. 4.20am done pump. Prepare storage. 4.25am store breast milk in fridge. Wash up breast pump and sterilize. 4.35am Sleep.

Hospital Bag Checklist

The Hospital Bag Checklist for delivering in Singapore When should you pack your maternity hospital bag? Try to pack at least 3 weeks before your due date, as it's better to be ready-to-go instead of panicking when the water bag breaks unexpectedly or if the painful contractions finally visits you and by then you won't be able to think properly of what to bring to hospital.  What to pack in your hospital bag? Well, it depends on what amenities and items are already included in your hospital maternity package though. I will be delivering at Mount Alvernia Hospital , and these are the stuffs that's included in the maternity package... Mount Alvenia Maternity packages include the following: Lodging, inclusive of meals (Normal delivery - 3D2N / C-Section - 4D3N) Labour Ward charges or Operating Theatre charges (depending on type of delivery) Nursery charges Daily treatment fee for Nursing services Baby's immunization (BCG, 1st dose of Hep B and Vitamin

How I came t o know about this premium essence of chicken? I posted a question on a "Mummies Group" on Facebook asking which chicken essence brand is the best for pregnancy. And "Lao Xie Zhen" had the most votes, which was a brand I had never heard of. So i googled it, visited the website to find out more about it. What are the benefits?
