Drugs/Medications I took during my pregnancy...

In pregnancy, most moms-to-be will try their best to avoid any medications in fear of causing any harm to the unborn child. But as a asthma patient myself, nothing is worse than not being able to breathe properly, which is in fact more dangerous to the unborn child. Not being able to breathe properly affects the oxygen intake to the baby. I was told by the doctors and even my own Gynae that these evohalers/inhalers are fine and won't cause any harm to baby especially when i've passed first trimester.

So, here's to share with you, those asthma, flu & cough medication I took during my pregnancy.
PS: I'm not telling everyone that all these are 100% safe, as i'm not a doctor myself, but i'm just sharing what i actually took during my pregnancy which was said to be safe. Don't misunderstood ar...

Salbuair/Ventolin inhaler (asthma attacks reliever)


Flixotide Evohaler 50mg (asthma preventer)


Tussidex Forte Linctus (cough) at 13 weeks & 26 weeks


Promethazine (cough) at 26 weeks


Hydroxyzine 25mg (cough) at 26 weeks


Acetylcysteine 600mg (phlegm) at 25 weeks


Chlorpheniramine 4mg (Antihistamine/Runny nose) at 25 weeks


Zyrtec 10mg Cetirizine (Antihistamine/Runny nose) at 25 weeks


Replaced Flixotide evohaler with Seretide Accuhaler at 27 weeks. (Due to my 2 weeks bad cough which kept triggering my asthma.)


Dexcophan 15mg at 27 weeks (cough)
Was prescribed this pills for my cough, ate 2 tabs, but stopped taking because I couldn't find any info online stating that this medicine is safe for pregnancy... (prescribed by GP, not gynae)
